Welcome to Pick a Pie Bakery. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Ordering Process

1.1 Order Placement

All orders must be placed through our official website, WhatsApp, or phone call. Verbal orders are subject to confirmation via written message or email.

1.2 Order Confirmation

Orders are only considered confirmed once:

  • Full payment or 50% advance payment is received
  • Order confirmation message/email is sent by our team
  • Custom design is approved (for custom cakes)

1.3 Minimum Notice Period

Regular Cakes: 24 hours minimum notice

Custom/Designer Cakes: 48-72 hours minimum notice

Wedding/Large Tiered Cakes: 1 week minimum notice

1.4 Pricing

All prices are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR). Prices are subject to change based on:

  • Design complexity
  • Size and weight
  • Seasonal ingredient costs
  • Delivery location

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Customer Cancellation

Cancellation requests must be made via WhatsApp or phone call:

  • More than 48 hours before delivery: Full refund or reschedule
  • 24-48 hours before delivery: 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours before delivery: No refund
  • Same-day cancellations: No refund

2.2 Bakery Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel orders in exceptional circumstances:

  • Ingredient unavailability
  • Technical/equipment failure
  • Natural disasters or emergencies
  • Safety concerns

In such cases, full refunds will be provided within 3-5 working days.

3. Refund Policy

3.1 Refund Eligibility

Refunds are issued in the following cases:

  • Order cancellation as per cancellation policy
  • Bakery-initiated cancellation
  • Significant quality issues (must be reported within 2 hours of delivery)
  • Wrong item delivered (must be reported immediately)

3.2 Non-Refundable Situations

No refunds will be issued for:

  • Change of mind after order confirmation
  • Minor appearance variations from reference images
  • Color shades variation (screens vs reality)
  • Taste preferences (unless quality issue)
  • Late delivery due to customer-provided wrong address

3.3 Refund Process

Refunds are processed within 3-7 working days through:

  • Original payment method (for online payments)
  • Bank transfer (for cash deposits)
  • Credit note for future orders

4. Delivery Terms

4.1 Delivery Areas

We deliver across Karachi with the following zones:

  • Zone A (Free Delivery): Gulshan, Johar, Malir, Bahadurabad
  • Zone B (Rs. 200-300): Defence, Clifton, Saddar
  • Zone C (Rs. 400-500): North Karachi, Orangi, SITE
  • Other Areas: Contact for quotation

4.2 Delivery Time

Delivery slots are approximate (±1 hour):

  • Morning Slot: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Afternoon Slot: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
  • Evening Slot: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

4.3 Delivery Instructions

  • Provide complete address with landmarks
  • Ensure someone is available to receive the order
  • Keep phone charged and reachable
  • Inspect cake upon delivery before signing

4.4 Failed Deliveries

Additional charges apply for:

  • Wrong address provided: Rs. 200-500
  • No one available to receive: Rs. 300
  • Re-delivery attempts: Rs. 200 per attempt

5. Custom Orders

5.1 Design Approval

For custom cakes:

  • Send clear reference images via WhatsApp
  • Our designer will share a sketch for approval
  • Only proceed after customer approves the design
  • Changes after approval may incur additional charges

5.2 Color Matching

We try our best to match colors, but:

  • Screen colors may differ from actual colors
  • Edible color shades may vary slightly
  • We use food-safe, halal-certified colors only

5.3 Personalization

  • Names, ages, messages can be added
  • Provide correct spelling in writing
  • No offensive or inappropriate content allowed
  • Copyrighted characters require permission

6. Liability & Responsibility

6.1 Product Care

After delivery, customers are responsible for:

  • Proper storage (refrigeration for cream cakes)
  • Keeping away from heat and direct sunlight
  • Safe transportation if moving the cake
  • Consuming within recommended timeframe

6.2 Allergies & Dietary Restrictions

We are not liable for:

  • Allergic reactions unless informed in writing
  • Cross-contamination in our kitchen
  • Specific dietary requirements not communicated
  • Ingredients from external suppliers

Always inform us about allergies before ordering.

6.3 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or cancellations due to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Political unrest/strikes
  • Power outages
  • Pandemics/epidemics
  • Acts of God

7. Privacy & Data Protection

7.1 Information Collection

We collect:

  • Name and contact information
  • Delivery address
  • Order history
  • Payment details (securely processed)

7.2 Information Usage

Your information is used for:

  • Order processing and delivery
  • Customer service
  • Marketing (with your consent)
  • Improving our services

7.3 Information Protection

We implement security measures but cannot guarantee 100% security. We do not sell your data to third parties.

8. Contact & Complaints

8.1 Complaints Procedure

For any issues:

  1. Contact us immediately via WhatsApp with photos/videos
  2. Provide order number and delivery details
  3. Allow 24 hours for investigation
  4. We will propose a resolution (refund/replacement/credit)
